Well, maybe someone missed this person, but just couldn't find them. Hopefully they'll be able to identify the remains to bring some closure to some family...........

We had the same thing happen in our town two or three years ago. A man from the next town over drove to a pharmacy here, and disappeared on his way home. There were searches, but the car wasn't found for nearly a year - it was at the bottom of our man-made lake. Divers had checked there, too, but somehow missed the car.

I remember that story about that poor Japanese man who died in his apartment, but no one ever bothered looking for him. That is sad. Hopefully they will be able to identify this person through their skeletal remains or teeth.
