Happens every summer , when hot weather starts my cat suffers from smalls bumps on both of his ears , last year the veterinarian give him a shot of cortisone ,but I do want to do it this year ,I don't think the cortisone will be good for my cat.I believe he is allergic to mosquitos or fleas bites , he wear a collar for fleas ,but does not work . Please any advise how to help my cat. Thanks

Hi. How about asking your vet what brand of cortisone cream they would recommend (instead of an injection). The cream doesn't enter the bloodstream, so much less impact on your cat's system. It is likely they can suggest an OTC one that would be appropriate for cats. It's worth a try!

I agree with FeebysOwner FeebysOwner . There are creams out there that might work very well. And even if it is fleas or other insects, the cortisone will drastically reduce the itching, and make secondary infections from scratching less likely.
