My cat Fuzzy is mostly a lap cat when I'm in the bathroom, or when I'm preparing to leave the house. I've been late a number of times because of her. But who can bear to move a cat when she's making love eyes at you?
Fuzzy was a stray and I literally adopted her right off the street. People think stray cats aren't affectionate but cats like Fuzzy would prove them wrong.
Let's see your lap kitties! When do they like to sit on your lap and are there times when you really need them to move? What do you do?

There’s this idea that Maine Coon aren’t lap cats. They’re right. Kind of. It’s more of a full leg experience. For some size reference, I’m around 5’9 to 5’10

Ozzy has become such a lap cat! He used to sleep on the bed until late morning but now he follows me into the TV room and curls up on my lap while I have my morning coffee. It's been a little challenging since he's long, tall, and weighs 18 lbs. but he's figured out a way to snuggle in.
