My printer died, so I need a new one. My price range is around $50.00. I see they have some at Best Buy and Walmart. If anybody is a techie and can tell me what they think is the best deal, I would appreciate it.

I bought a $20 HP Deskjet from Target several years ago. It prints and scans. It works well for basic printing.
I have a hp printer/scanner that works well, but the cost of the ink is CRAZY. If you can find out the size of the ink cartridges that those sale printers take, I would check those prices as well. An inexpensive printer is no bargain when you pay a fortune for the ink.
You can get refillable ink tanks which would cost less over time. There might not be a refillable ink tank for all printer brands, though.

Have you tried simplyink.com? I have used them to get ink for my Canon printer. They have free shipping to the lower 48 states. Their ink is good. They are also running a 12% discount on the site. I have also bought cartridges from Amazon.
Petsmart is selling the 35 pound pails of Tidy Cats for $8.99 online IF you pick it up in store. It will go up $1 after noon. The discount comes off once you choose in store pickup. They are also selling the 32 count packs of Friskies for $12.79 if you pick it up in store. It's normally $14.99. That makes it .40 cents a can. That works for me. I can go pick it up after the madness ends. 
I went to Petsmart and Petco after work to see what was left. They still had plenty of litter---if I had known about pre-ordering it I would have saved a few dollars, oh well. Last year they were out of litter by the time I got there. I bought 4 things of Arm & Hammer and 4 things of Tidy Cats. Total 300 pounds for $88! I got some dry Canidae, Purina One and Friskies, buy one get one free. 80 pounds for $79.44 (before tax)! I didn't bother with canned food because that's how much it costs when I buy from Costco or Sam's Club anyway. Oh and a 3.5 gallon betta tank for $14.99, couldn't resist .

Yankee Candle is doing buy 3 get 3 free on large jar and tumbler candles with free shipping on orders of $50 or more. These are great to have around for power outages. We relied on them when we had no power after 2 back to back hurricanes - and they smell wonderful!
I've been to the Yankee Candle headquarters a few times in college. It was maybe 20 minutes from campus. It smells sooo good in there
