I realize this is a huge longshot. A friend of mine has found a mom cat and 6 kittens outside next to her home. She has a severe cat allergy and is not able to even handle the cat/kittens. She has reached out to all local rescues and shelters we have found on google or facebook. I am eight hours away in another state. She does not want to take them to a kill shelter. If anyone call help or knows of anymore resources I can share please let me know either here or via pm.

She already called Friends of Parkville and they were full. I will mention next door and see if she has tried that yet.

I shared this list with my friend. She will probably know herself which ones are too far away.

I am hoping something turns up promising. No neighbors of hers that would be willing to help out until she can find some other resource?
Unfortunately no. She put a plea out to everyone local to her and tried asking neighbors. I am trying to just do research for places for her to contact. I am to far away to actually help. No one I know locally near me has any personal resources in Missouri. She is also kind of out in the country. Kansas City is the closet large area. She put a post on her facebook page. Other people are sharing it locally to try to help her by reaching out to any family or friends they have in her area. So far no one is able to help. Right now we are just hoping someone shares her plea for help with the right person.

:( I am out of ideas. If they have at least some shelter, maybe they will get by for now. Most mama cats are very good and resourceful about taking care of their babies. She shouldn't be surprised to find them missing as mama cats often move their babies if they think they need to in order to offer protection from predators.

She could build a make shift shelter nearby without touching the cats and hope the mama likes her potential new shelter. Add some good food and water to the new shelter and that might help.

I will ask her if that is something her husband could do. I did share your suggestion with my friend. I also shared where she could find videos on how to build a shelter If that is something that can be done.

:crossfingers: Please keep us posted. It's hard not know more...
I will post updates once I have more info. I am going to bed for the night. I will check with my friend tomorrow afternoon for updates when I get home from work. I have to be at work at 6am so I really need to go to bed. I have been dealing with a migraine all day. When I saw my friend's Facebook post I forgot about my migraine and focused on finding her resources. I am really hoping this migraine is gone when I have to work tomorrow.

My friend is running into a wall with the rescues and shelters being full. She is using Facebook to find them homes. A friend that has experience finding homes for cats and kittens is helping her locally. This person is not in a position to adopt but is helping network The kittens are old enough to be separated from mom. Mom and the kittens are actually not scared of humans. She thinks the little family was dumped on her property. So far homes have been found for 2 of the kittens.

I have also started providing my friend with places to call for spay/ neuter too.

Thanks for the update! At least your friend is getting some help to find homes for the kittens and mama. I am glad they OK with humans, that will help them to stay around while your friend continues to try to find them all homes.

At least who ever dumped them had the decency to leave them with their mama. A friend of mine came home one night to find four 1-2 week old kittens in a cardboard box. No note, no mama, nothing. Fortunately, this lady was already taking care of a mama and two babies, and the mama graciously took on the 4 abandoned babies! They are all healthy and in the process of being adopted.

Keep us posted if you want. It is always nice to know how everything turns out, especially if it is good (but, we take the bad too)!

We have a local radio station that has a short segment they call the "pet patrol" and you can call in to have them announce things like lost or found animals (they have even had a few horses both lost and found ). also for sale or to give away. It's all free, including the for sale, and is treated as a community service. A quick call to a few radio stations where you are might get some results if they have something similar.
