Hey everyone!
So yesterday, at around 11am I have noticed that my cat started sneezing a lot, which usually doesn't happen at all. Until 6pm she sneezed about 10 times, so I got worried and started monitoring her closely. After 6pm her sneezing stopped and she started making more of a coughing sound. Not super strong, but I would say like 1 cough every hour or two. It is now 8am in the morning.
Other than that, she seems to feel fine. She is eating and drinking as she always does, she peed just fine and even had her 3am zoomies.
I would take her to the vet, but the reason I'm so hesitant is because she is SUPER stressed and aggressive at the vet. I'm talking scratching and biting everyone, trying to get away and screaming for her life. And after we come back, she usually hides from me for about a day.
I thought it could have been a hairball (?), since she is a very fluffy cat. So I gave her one of those hair gels that is supposed to help at around 4am. I woke up again at 7 am and havent seen her cough yet (it is about 8am), but I don't know if it helped or if it'll start again. She usually throws up hairballs and it has been a while since she did. But I was always at work when she did, so I don't know how she usually acts when she does it.
I guess I am wondering if I should just continue to monitor her since she is eating and drinking? Or take her in even if it'll stress her out? Did anyone have anything similar happen to their cat?
