8 week old kitten.

The long fur is making it very difficult for me to determine sex. The kitten was announced to us as a girl. However, her litter mate was also said to be a girl and after a couple days we determined was he was actually a very obvious boy. (Short hair)

Now I'm second guessing if this kitten could also be a boy.

There is kind of a buldge over the area of the genitals, not flat. I don't feel little balls though, just puffy?? But the distance between the butt and actual pink genital has me thinking it could be a boy. I included Several pics, but all are while kitty is laying on it's side. It won't stay still for a standing pose lol. This is exactly all I can see when I check. Too much fur to get any clearer view!!

Any thoughts please??

Thank you. I've read several of the same articles via web. I do know it's best to research before resorting to posting a kitten's genitals on a forum. However, had any of my research resulted in a definitive "Ah, it's a xxx!" then I surely wouldn't be asking for public opinion! Lol I thought someone with a bit more experience may be able to give their best educated guess. Because right now, according to the articles, it could be both.🤷‍♀️

I understand. I posted the link because I could not tell from the photos. If you wait a few more weeks, if there are testicles they will descend. I have a black cat, now 9 years old, who I thought was a girl until his testicles showed up around 12 weeks.

Yes, I think I'll just need to wait and see. I have a vet visit set up for 2 weeks from now. But I was hoping to have a better idea sooner since it will be less confusing for my child. Thanks!
