Hello, I have a sweet sweet 2 month old kitten named Cici, she and her brothers all got ringworm, its one really severe type of ringworm. I am on college, on a college budget that I will admit that is good enough for me to buy her quality food, toys and to take her to the vet when she needs to. I live with two friends and just recently my grandma passed away so my parents got me this beautiful kitten, my roommates hate her, they call her ugly, they only want her to be in my room ( although as soon as they go to sleep or they leave the house or whenever I can I let her out and play with her)... They don't know that the reason she looks "ugly" is because she always has to be covered in some lotion to help with her ringworm, she also doesn't have fur in some parts of her little body, I couldn't tell them that she is sick with ringworm because they would "throw" her away into a shelter. I have recently catch ringworm from her, and so did my roommate, as soon as she finds out that he kitten is sick i don't know what will happen.

My veterinarian told me to buy 2 lotions, I bought them and not

Oh man, I'm sorry that you and this precious kitten are going through this. Your roommates are hateful for calling her ugly. Is there any other medication they can give her for the ringworm, like an oral medication, or is she too young?

She is to young and light, needs to be at least 1 kg, she can't even get her vaccinations due to being sick
She as a lot of space to run and to be happy, she is not being badly taken care of and she is getting happier by the day but I just feel so bad for not being able to give her all that she deserves! I love her to death, and she likes me, no one wanted to adopt her and I am scared of what might happen if she goes to a shelter, all of her brothers are super sick ( they aren't being medicated) and can't get an adoption.

You are doing a great job. Did the vet say how long it would take for the lotion to work?

Yes, but now it seems that the lotion won't work on its own so she needs something more, I decided that I am just going to buy the oral medicine and see how she handles it, I talk to the doctor and as soon as I see something wrong with it we will stop it and think of other solutions. I just don't know what to do in case she gets even sicker with that medicine.

Did the vet say it was okay to give the oral medication?

One of them said it was the best to do that it might have side effects but that we would see as it go, the other wanted as to buy so many pills, a liver one, the oral one and then some tests and then maybe a shampoo.... He was kind but was thinking more in making money than in not scaring the patient.

I have heard of vets prescribing Milk Thistle for liver problems. You could ask him about that.
