Hi. My kitten of 6 months has been drooling this morning, having really bad breath and flu. She's also been sleeping a lot lately and having reduced appetite the last few days. Just wondering what it could possibly be? We'll be taking her to the vet tomorrow.
Side note: she's fully vaccinated, spayed and a fully indoor cat. She lives among my other cats who are also the same.
Pls help I am worried:((

drooling usually indicates nausea or a bad tooth. With the smelly breath it could be her teeth, though that would be unusual at 6 months. If it was me, I would order some DMG an immune system supplement online at Amazon,Target, or Walmart and get her on that. I put it in Delectable Lickables in the stew flavors, if she has lost her appetite the treat may get her tto eat. My cats have leukemia and any little cold could kill them. This has stopped the feline herpes, kitty flu, they were getting several times a year. L-Lysine didn't seem to do anything. Feline herpes is VERY common in cats, especially kittens, and is not transferrable to humans. Keep her warm and try to keep her hydrated. Please keep us informed on what you find out!

Your kitty could be teething and the baby teeth could be falling out. I would get her to the vet to check for sure to see what's going on.

Hi. It could be many things. I personally would go to an ER tonight, but if you don’t want to, then get her in first thing in the morning.
At 6 months of age, a cat should not have a decreased appetite or be lethargic. Both of these symptoms can indicate something serious going on.
Drooling can indicate nausea, but also exposure to a toxin.
Do you have any plants in the house?
Have you used any topical medication ( including flea medication) on your cat or any of your other cats?
Does anyone in the house use any topical medications?
Any insecticide used in the house?
Any “natural” cleaners? Essential oils ?

Drooling in a young cat can also be caused by injecting things they shouldn’t. I have seen cats get a string wrapped around the back of their tongue. A full oral exam should be done.

Drooling and not eating can also be caused by internal organ disfunction. Is he urinating okay? What about having bm?
When cats drool, they can dehydrate very quickly and become critical in a short amount of time.
