Hi, everyone!
My name is Anna, and I adopted an 8-year-old cat named Susan in late August 2020. She was surrendered to the ASPCA with an ear infection and struvite stones, and they surgically removed the stones. She was also a whopping 18.5 lbs, but has been on a diet and gradually gotten to ~16 lbs currently. She is very sweet but had some sudden aggression issues ~3 weeks after we got her, and she is currently on fluoxetine. She did undergo a dental procedure in late December and they removed 7 teeth, including one of her canines.
Susan loves: quiet toys, sunny naps in the windowsill, being in the same room as her people, and raiding the bedroom closet to "hunt" socks and shirts, which she carries to the living room meowing loudly
I've read posts from this forum since the adoption, and they have been very helpful. This is clearly a caring, well-informed community of cat lovers -- thank you all!
