Petco isn't. I have to use the internet.
I use walking jacket style harnesses and Willow has never slipped one. One of my locally owned pet stores carries walking jackets that are designed for pet rats or ferrets, and that fit her just fine when she was ~8 weeks old. It wasn't cute or fancy but it kept her safe and didn't break the bank. When she outgrew that one, I got her the same style and same brand in a larger size, which was designed for rabbits and guinea pigs, and that one she wore out.
She's grown into her size XS Kitty Holster now. It's stinking cute on her and she's been out in the forest in it without any problems. Those ARE expensive and she may outgrow it, but compared to a kitten's life?????
You could probably make one if you had to. All you would need are things that are readily available at Jo Ann's and slightly more sewing ability than my own.
I have small dogs and wouldn't recommend using dog harnesses on a cat. Dogs are solid and cats are liquid.
