Hey everyone! While I was feeding my 5 month old kitty Tiny Tiger canned food for kittens I noticed these hard bone-like pieces in the food. They’re extremely hard and I don’t know if this is normal or not. Has anyone experienced this or is this normal? Do I need to let the company know?
I attached pictures below.

When I was growing up we were trained to squish through the cat food searching for sharp bones to pull them out. The pet food companies said the bones were soft enough not to hurt the cats, but if we couldn't squish them we pulled them. I don't remember finding any in the food in the 90s (the last time we had cats who would eat wet food.)

I'd suggest at least stirring the food with a fork to see what's in it and testing pieces. Sharp pieces can damage an animal's insides and if they can be repaired that's expensive. Who knows how many labeled IBD were from sharp pieces of bone in their food.

By the way, this is scary. Thanks for posting it.

I wonder if this is behind the suddenly out of stock Tiny Tiger at Chewy? A recall by Chewy maybe?
