What are you doing to celebrate?

Not much here—hubby and I are heading downtown to see the festivities. I think there are food booths, music on the lawn at City Hall, and I’m not sure what all. If it isn’t too crowded, we’ll walk around a bit. Then we’re going to some friends’ house for appetizers and drinks but won’t stay long. I like to be home with kitties, in case people are setting off fireworks.

Just making some burgers on the grill. Not doing the fireworks display that will take place tonight. Just enjoying being home with the pets and hubby.

I'm not celebrating. I'm just doing schoolwork, and I'm not even sure Kingwood's fireworks will go off as storms are rolling in.

Hanging out, bought a new storm door on sale at one of the big home improvement stores, and will be grilling later

When I was a kid, we used to go to the fireworks displays all the time. My husband and I don't really enjoy the noise and crowds as adults, though.

We'll be just staying home and relaxing.

Tonight is fireworks and since they took the rain out of the forecast the display should be well attended. Earlier in the day we went to a local July 4th celebration that begins with a dog contest that I absolutely love. They award prizes for tallest, smallest, longest tail, shortest tail, best tricks, human/dog look alike, etc. Here is a pic of 2 magnificent Samoyed's that participated and look like bookends.

For my Independence Day, I finished and hung the wall cabinet that I built so Michele could store her baking sheets.

The downtown 4th event! Neat that so many people go but too crowded and noisy for us to stay long. Fun to walk through and check it out, though.
