For those who celebrate it!

What are you doing to celebrate?

Not much here—hubby and I are heading downtown to see the festivities. I think there are food booths, music on the lawn at City Hall, and I’m not sure what all. If it isn’t too crowded, we’ll walk around a bit. Then we’re going to some friends’ house for appetizers and drinks but won’t stay long. I like to be home with kitties, in case people are setting off fireworks. :cringe:

I'm not celebrating. I'm just doing schoolwork, and I'm not even sure Kingwood's fireworks will go off as storms are rolling in.

Tonight is fireworks and since they took the rain out of the forecast the display should be well attended. Earlier in the day we went to a local July 4th celebration that begins with a dog contest that I absolutely love. They award prizes for tallest, smallest, longest tail, shortest tail, best tricks, human/dog look alike, etc. Here is a pic of 2 magnificent Samoyed's that participated and look like bookends.
