Today is my cat's 1st birthday. 8 months ago I began fostering her as she was undergoing some medical treatment. A month later I realized that I could not part with her and decided to adopt her. I still remember the moment I signed the adoption paper - the nervousness of committing to the responsibility of pet ownership and the excitement of bringing her home once and for all gave me major jitters.
It turns out to be one of the best decisions I've made! Ashton makes me laugh every day. Whether she's curled up in my lap sleeping or running around the home acting crazy, she's an endless source of amusement. So today I just want to share this joy with you on her birthday.
