My cat is using the litter box regularly.
I have been giving her Temptations hair ball treats in the morning and Greenies hairball treats at dinner.
She sometimes throws up a hair ball.
She is eating fine through out the day.
I thought that if she pops, the hair goes out to.
I do sometimes give her Laxatone too.
She's and old girl, 14, but is in good health and eating well.
Still catches a bird from time to time.
Thoughts on this?

I think seasonal changes can cause a cat to groom more than usual, thereby increasing the amount of hair being consumed. They can be nuanced changes such as you might have in Hawaii - like we have in Florida. But, they nonetheless still occur and I do see Feeby groom/shed more at these times. I try to increase the frequency of brushings to help offset this.

The chance there is hair routinely being expelled through feces is almost a guarantee, but that doesn't mean from time to time a cat won't also throw up some hair as well.

Not sure if that answers your question or not. Let us know if it doesn't.

To reduce or even eliminate hairballs, keep your cat well hydrated, brush them every day and avoid dry food. My vet told me it’s better for a cat to eliminate hairballs in their feces than to cough them up.

So I though she was 14.
She is now 17.
Birthday was 11/19
I guess she doing well for an old girl.
When I noticed her not eating as much, I give her the laxatone.
Seems to help.
I'm thinking she sometimes goes outside, as her box has no #2.
Energy get better after.
