So as you all know, I bought a new (used) car about a month ago.
Well, yesterday I noticed the clutch was making a weird squealing noise

I thought it was because it had rained and the belt was squealing from the wet roads.
Well, today the clutch is going out!!

It's making a grinding noise and not accelorating like it should.

So I called the car lot and they said they would pay for 50% of the repairs. That they really shouldn't have to but they will out of good faith!

I am soooooooo angry! They told me that they have extended warranties but I chose not to purchase one.
I WAS NEVER OFFERED ONE!!!

Well, since my mom was with me when I bought it and they know her, she called them. They said they would get me a rental car for $25/day but that's the best they could do.
I'm thinking I might contact an attorney about this one

I am soooooooooo upset about this! I'm going to have to carefully drive it 30 miles to thier mechanic tomorrow. They won't even tow it

My mom can't pick me up from the mechanic so THANKFULLY Rachel (norachelhere) is going to follow me and bring me home

Vibes that it won't be as expensive as I'm expecting?

Alycia,

Have you looked at Florida's Lemon Law? Here is a link:

http://www.carlemon.com/lemon/FL_law.html

There are plenty of links for lawyers, but they will get a cut. If you read the law and throw in a few words to let them know that you are aware of the law, you may not have to hire a lawyer.

Hope this helps and good luck.

You should call your boss and make him pick you up...I mean, he calls you on Sundays, the least he could do is give you a ride to work...even if it is out of his way (don't know that for sure, but doesn't matter, lol).

I would if I thought he would do it. But unfortunatly, he's out of town and is counting on me to be in the office for payroll tomorrow

I can't afford it
It would have cost me $75 by tonight because the car would have to be back before 6pm or it's another $25

I'm so glad they are going to pay for all of it!!!

Now what you need to do it take it to another mechanic (that you trust) and see if they fixed it RIGHT. I've had that happen
It was from a car dealership that was a big jerk to me!!!

They showed me the old clutch, flywheel and all that. It was horrible!
Literally in pieces! I'm suprised it made it to the mechanic

Oh and the mechanic detailed it for me too!
