I posted not too long ago about my cats allergies/asthma and URI's. He had a URI when I adopted him from the shelter as a 2 month old kitten. After we treated it, the uri never came back that strong until he was about 6 years old. It got really bad out of nowhere at that age and thats when he got bloodwork, xrays, and evaluations where they were able to diagnose him with allergic bronchitis. He was given an inhaler which helped greatly for about a year but then stopped. I then took him to a new vet which was highly recommended that said yep it's definitely allergies/asthma which started because of his chronic uri's. He gave him a steroid shot because his breathing was very very bad and within 2 days my kitty was normal again. This lasted about 8 or 9 months.
Now at 8 years old my cat has been sniffling again and thank god no more asthma attacks after getting rid of the triggers and using air purifiers. I posted recently about this uri that came back, I was able to get him into the vet pretty quickly where they did an exam and said he's super healthy just another uri. He was given a Convenia shot, sent home with foriflora to help boost his immune system. I also started giving him cbd in the morning with his wet food. His sneezing died down, the wet sound got a lot better too...but his breathing is still kind of noisy. Well last night I was up late and my kitty was sleeping with his head curled upside down, and I looked in his nostril and to my surprise theres pink fleshy looking thing blocking one nostril. It looks like a polyp. The specialist in my area is closed today so I'm going to call tomorrow to schedule an appointment. Besides this issue he seems very healthy. He's maintained his 10lb weight, uses litterbox, likes to play and his very curious. How concerned should I be? Is it possible this is cancer? I'm pretty worried as that would obviously be devestating and he's only 8 years old and seems so healthy otherwise. I'm also not in the best financial position at this point but will do pretty much anything to make him feel better, I just want to know what to expect? If it was cancer would there be other symptoms?
