Google + Accounts Closing

I got an email saying that Google + accounts will be closing on April 2, 2019.

Expediting changes to Google+

Google + is the social network thing that includes groups and community pages, basically like FB. If you have a Google + account, you should export your data before it closes.

Google services (Gmail, Drive, Photos, etc) are not affected by this. Former Google + users will still have access to all of these.

If you don't have a Google + account, there's no need to worry about any of this.

I got one of those too, but I don't know what it's about. I don't remember making an account. Does it include emails?

No, just the groups and community boards and stuff. Anything you have on those social things will be deleted (photos, documents, etc). Regular Google accounts for Gmail, Drive, etc are not affected.
