My male (fixed) cat loves to play in my neighborhood. Everyone knows him and keep an extra eye on him everyday. My problem is that I have replaced his relective cat collar and Id tag AT LEAST 6 times within the past 3 or 4 months. He leaves with one on, comes home without one. I started buying them in bulk from Amazon but even that gets quite expensive when Im putting a new one on him every few weeks. Is there a safe reflective type of collar for cats that wont easily come off? All the buckle style I see are for dogs. Please help as I have 3 cats and two of them are coming home without their mittens

The whole point of those quick release collars is that they come off easily. That way if a cat gets his collar snagged on something he will be able to get away, rather than getting caught up in bushes or a fence and choking to death. Too many cats were found strangled by their collars, which is why they now make break-away cat collars.

Please don't put a buckle style collar on him. As well as the risk of choking he could scratch it with a back leg, get his claw caught in the stitching and injure himself that way.

87 cents each! He could lose one every day and it would still be pretty affordable, lol.
Amazon.com : RYPET Reflective Cat Collar with Bell, Set of 12, Breakaway Cat Collar Identification Collars for Newborn Pets : Pet Supplies

Tags are a bit more expensive. You could just write your phone number on the collar, although that's not really enough.
These are the cheapest I can find:

Oh, hmm, these come with a (weatherproof, they say) paper tag and are just over a dollar each, if he loses his collar very often this might be a good option:
Pet Supplies : Elanz 6 Pack Reflective Breakaway Cat Collar with Bell & ID Tag – Adjustable, Super Soft, Durable Nylon Cat Collars – Multicolor with Safety Buckles & Weatherproof ID Tags for Kittens & Cats : Amazon.com

Or you could buy a bunch of the tags to go with the 87 cent collars:
