I used to when I was younger, and I found out my husband is a VERY good singer, he even got requests! It was so neat to find out the REAL words to songs I THOUGHT I knew!

Do you gamble at all on vacations? Or are you more family orientated.  (LasVegas anyone?!)
Ah, I still go to karaoke on a regular basis. Still get a request, sometimes to sing.

I've never been much of a gambler.

Ever been to the Sand Hills of NE? I have, once, in 1994. Lots of space, almost no, and I mean no, people.

Never been to NE.

Have you ever stayed in a Las Vegas hotel on the strip?
No, but I did stay in Binion's Horshoe in Downtown Vegas, back in ancient times.

Ever take a boat ride on the Colorado River? Quite exciting in the summer, clothing semi-optional for all. (Hot, too.)

Have your ever stayed at a B & B? (It's our favorite place to stay)
Yes, all the time.  We love B & B's too, they are so quaint.  Hotels can be very impersonal and sterile.  B.C. (before children) we drove to my sister in PA and then up the east coast staying in B & B's the entire way.

Have you ever been the victim of a hit and run car accident?

No

Have you gone to Atlantic City before there were casinos there? I went there while growing up, when it was a safe place and a family type resort.

Been to AC once, but have no clue if pre or post-casinos.

Ever been to Philly?
No,

Ever been to Delaware? Nice place for a family vacation, and for corporations. How can you beat that . . . .

No I haven't made an orange meringue pie. Sounds delicious.

I have hooked school. Was too afraid to do it again. Have you done this?

What is it to "hook" school?  If it's truancy, I was a frequent serial skipper and flunker-outer

Have you ever been tattooed?

I have heaps, in fact I had The Tao of Pooh on my back revamped only the other day, as at 25 years old he looked sad and tatty.  He now looks ace, all bright and crisp again.  I have Alice in Wonderland's flower garden on one bottom leg, Arthur Rackhans fairies on a thigh, Warwick Gobles spirits mad with joy on the other thigh, a random colourful thing on a leg that has at least got Brian the snail in it (this is due to be overdrawn next month), a wee strawberry, a runescript, and four separate Calvin and Hobbes.

Go on, do tell....

Yes, it is another word for skipping school.

I don't have any tattoos, but I do love Calvin and Hobbes

I made a derogatory remark about someone and then had someone tell me they were their friend or relative. It taught me to not speak negatively about anyone. Have you done this?

In the kitchen
Kind of. Many many moons ago, when I was a kitchen slave at our local hospital, my GF and I were in the elevator, taking food up to a floor. There was a nurse in the elevator with us and we were talking. My GF and I were complaining bitterly about a teacher at our HS. My GF had had her and I was stuck with her that year. We couldn't stand her. So there we were, talking about the teacher. And the nurse looked at us and said, "You know, she's my mother." And we immediately said, "Oh crap!" And we apologized profusely. We felt terrible. The lady said it was OK, that she knew her mother wasn't a favorite teacher. But Deb and I felt awful about it.

And I've also been on the receiving end. A few months back, a woman at work was really criticizing a woman at a local school. It was really nasty and I knew for a fact that over half of what the woman was saying wasn't true in the slightest. And how did I know? Because the woman she was talking about was my sister and I knew exactly what was going on in that particular situation. And I finally told the woman so, that she was my sister. She stopped dead and then she said, "Well, then I guess you know what she's like!" And I said, "Actually, 99% of what you said is an outright lie. Exaggerate much?" And she walked off in a huff. The other woman apologized.

I've gotten very sick due to over-indulging in a fifth of Bacardi's Rum. Have you?
