No, thank goodness.

Ever dealt with a drug addict?
Yes, on a number of occasions. Once had a housemate I had to kick out because he began to abuse crack cocaine.

Most other times were a lot more tangential. Thankfully, not someone really close, and really thankfully, not me.

Ever have to deal with someone with dementia? My late father's second wife, my brother and my stepmother, has it, and, alas, she's confined to a nursing home. She's 95 but it still sucks.

Yes, I took care of my aunt who had Alzheimer's, for 3 years. My mother had it before she passed away from a heart attack.

When I was a young child I found an injured bird, and on my mother's advise I used an eye dropper to give it water several times a day until it was well and could fly. I don't remember what we gave it to eat. Have you taken care of a wild animal?

I think I have occasionally skipped elections in which I was eligible to vote, for local ordinances or such. I can't recall if I've voted in every large national election for which I was eligible, but most of them.

Have you ever volunteered to get others registered to vote?

No, but I have privately encouraged others to register and vote.  As part of a group effort, no.  In our county there is a huge drive before all elections to get folks registered, and they are usually overrun with folks that help out, mainly retirees, and they love to do it.

Have you ever taken someone to vote for their first time voting?  I have, it was really a special experience, more so than I thought it would be.

Yes. I worked on both of President Obama's campaigns, the first one more so than the second. I took people to the polling places to vote, if they had no other way to get there. They were so proud!
And I did not ask them who they were voting for; I was just glad they were voting.

Have you ever been vaccinated against shingles?

No but I'm considering it.

Have you ever seen a rabid animal? I have and it's horrible. One was an adult dog and the other a baby raccoon.

Had colonoscopy & endoscopy today. Have you been tested?

Yes, about eight years (or so) ago, I'm thinking. Rick is due for his and is going in on March 9.

Have you ever developed any allergies?

Nothing serious, thank heaven.

Know anyone who had mesothelioma? I did, alas.

Yes, a close friend's mum suddenly upped and died a few years back.  Apparently, it's a death wish on him, his sister, and his dad too, as they all lived in the same house for years without knowing about the asbestos.  Asbestos means, "unquenchable" in Greek, apparently.  Which just makes the whole thing immeasurably worse.

Bummer.

On a brighter note,

Have you ever ridden a donkey at the seaside?

No, but I've ridden mules quite a bit, not at the seaside of course.  But it sounds fun!

Have you ever ridden a mule? They are such smart animals!!!!

No, I've neer ridden a mule but would consider doing it if I had a chance.

Have you ever taken in or helped an injured animal?  (I have on several occasions)

I have!  My dad was a morning DJ as a 2nd job when I was a preschooler, and I made guest appearances sometimes haha!  Then later as an adult I did a couple of PSA's for our local stations when I worked in healthcare.

I also appeared on several local news shows giving interviews, information on local classes, etc., safety tips, etc. back then as well, due to one of my job responsibilities being PR.  I hate being on television or radio honestly.  I start feeling like those folks you see pulled out of the woodwork to comment on a tornado, flood, or whatever--the craziest person they can drag up.

Have you ever been on television?

I've been "laid off" but not "fired", but one of those was a borderline case as my boss and I hated each other, and I'm pretty sure my position was not the smartest one to eliminate financially, but he definitely wanted to get rid of me.

Have you had a boss or co-worker that you couldn't stand?
