HELLO!!!

I've got 4 kitties!

Moe, 18y, black and white American Shorthair, two months older than myself and the love of my entire household! Sweet as sugar and has a baby kitten meow.

Octavia, 2y, brown Calico, my little brother's (17y) first cat. The baby of the house. Has neurological disorder, can't jump and runs funny. Owly personality.

Lilly, 19y, gray Calico, came to us semi-feral and around 10y, escaped house occasionally and gave us Moony and Lacie! The old lady of the house, a bit cranky.

Moony, 9y, brown Calico, last littler of kittens Lilly had in the old neighborhood, Moe's cuddle buddy, talkative and loves affection!!

Lacie, 7y, gray Calico, MY BABY!!! Lilly's last kitten before being fixed, has all of Lilly's old feral-stray aggression! Sweet to me, little cuddle baby, devil to the rest of the household and hates guys for some reason. She's a special little gem. Softest cat ever.

I love my pretty kitty cats!

I've always struggled with defining my girls as calicos or tortoiseshells, anyone know what's what? I made a poll yay

Lillie and Moony look like silver torties while Octavia looks like a calico. Lacie is harder...but I'm looking awning toward silver tabby. She's got the classic 'M' on the head, and a lot of white on the chest/belly. But her body looks silver tortie...so it's hard.

Aww, sweet kitties. You've got a couple of real seniors there, too. Our elder kitty is 15 years old and she's a little cranky, too, but we love her anyway.

As for calicos and torties...oh, who knows? Depends on who you ask. But if there is a LOT of white, generally people say "calico." Now, to me, but that's just me, if the colors are set distinctly apart with a lot of white, that's calico. If the colors are more blended (even if there is some white), I call it "tortie or tortoiseshell") The "gray" would be called "dilute" either way. But, as I say, that's just me.
