Freeze Dried Liver ???

Can't source turkey liver locally. I'm wondering if freeze dried Turkey liver could be used as the liver source in home-made cat food?

Yes you can. You have to figure out what the weight of freeze dried to use to equal the desired amount of fresh by the guarantee analysis on the package and comparing that to reported moisture values of fresh liver. This page walks you through it.

The trick would be getting the amount right.

Primal makes freeze dried turkey liver treats. I get them to give as a treat to my cat Zeke.

Maybe if you add water to rehydrate, then weigh it out.....
