It's cold and rainy here today with temperatures in the low 40F, but Peter is still a happy bun. We did put a tarp over his hutch to keep the rain from splashing into his area. He's having a good time running back and forth in his tunnels, dashing through the mud and rain. With his dinner this evening, he got extra freeze dried fruit and snacks to help give him extra energy to stay warm (even though this temperature is fine for bunnies) and he has extra hay in that section of his hutch to cuddle into.

Look at that yummy bunny feast! I've said it before, but Peter hit the jackpot when he hopped into your yard. :bunny::redheartpump:
He certainly did. He hit the jackpot and he knows it.

Look at him giving the camera the side eye.

"I SAID no pictures while I'm eating. I'll be just as cute when I'm done. :sigh: Humans." :rolleyes2:

He's gorgeous. Look at that thick, soft fur. I love bunnies so much. :cloud9:

Peter is a happy bunny. I didnt get any pictures to go along with it, but this morning I went out to say hi before leaving to shop some small businesses (small business saturday, shop local and support small businesses). Somehow he had pushed his door shut, he looked very confused at me and nudged at his door for me to open it. I opened it, placed his stake back in the ground to keep it from shutting (he must have knocked it over) and gave him a piece of my banana. It's a hard bunny life sometimes but it works out in the end.

Peter got a christmas stocking from the local bunny rescue. Full of all sorts of fun stuff and munchies. Merry Christmas Peter!!.... a little bit early but that's okay. I did put everything back in the stocking and he will actually get a new item every day. Like a bunny advent calendar...... sort of, I just wanted some photos with everything.

What will he do with the pine cones? Play with them?
Rabbits can eat or play with pine cones. They have to be cleaned and dried out first. This is the first time Peter has received pine cones so we will see what he decides to do with it.

Peter got his first Happy Bunny Club box today. The box comes from the UK because the US box would have cost me more for less even factoring in that I had to pay for overseas shipping.

I usually mix a hay blend in with his pellets so I will probably mix the dried flower blends in with his pellets too. He should be eating more hay and less pellets but that bun isn't a huge hay fan so sneak it in like veggies in mac and cheese for kids. I think he will like the toys and the chew tube. Overall, pretty happy with the contents.

Peter had an exhausting day today.

The rabbit rescue was having a special event today but I had to go to work. Luckily, my boss said I could bring Peter to the office. Peter hung out in the play pen until noon when we headed to the rescue.

Peter got to be the first bunny of the day to have his photo taken.

Then we stayed for the hoppy hour, which is a bunny play time. It was his first time and he didn't really know what to do. I don't think he fully recognized the other bunnies as the same as him. We stayed for a good 30 minutes to see if he would adjust but he seemed to be ready to go.

The person with a broom was the chaperone. They had three people with brooms ready to nudge bunnies away if they started nipping each other. Two times would mean time out and three would end their visit.

The hoppy hour staff said that usually the first time the rabbits just take it all in, their second they engage more and the third they are relaxed. I might try it again since Peter had a full day before he even got to hoppy hour.
