Really???? That's interesting since this is her first and she seems sooooooo needy...lol. I feel bad for her as she prob has no idea what's up. I'll research that. ThanksThe male cat may think she just smells awfully good, even though he can't perform. If she is keeping you up at night with her yowling, look up some videos on YouTube about how to eliminate the behavior for a few hours.
Thank you!!!!I've had to delete a link because it was too graphic. Search on YouTube for "cat in heat" and it will come up.
She normally likes to be up, but she's now trying to climb the entertainment center to get up top. Then when she gets up wherever, she looks to me like get me down now. I just wondered cuz she's crazy now about heights. Poor thing. Some cats just prefer to be up high, and since her heat is making her antsy, she feels even more secure up there. I doubt her love of heights is caused by the heat, but it certainly intensifies it.
I don't know if I just have the exception but my girl had one heat cycle before her previous owner had her spayed and I adopted her. My male cat who was neutered at 10 weeks old suddenly realized he was a typical mancat and there was now a pretty female in his space when we brought her home. Even still, I'll catch him with his nose right smack dab in her business!
I'm dying...really...with all these pictures...LOL, people are sometimes shocked that neutering doesn't always mean that those instincts are dead! Neutered animals don't attach particular emphasis to the removed...um..."bits" and can actually still function. They just aren't inclined to go out seeking, or to fight over the matter, but when presented with an appropriate object for their affections...well. Nose. Business. There you have it.
