Hi guys, Im a first time cat owner and have had Skype (the cat) for about 6 months now. He just passed his first hairball today (that ive seen, he is about 9 months old), which was a fun surprise as ive only ever had dogs. He also had some diarrhea that kind of looks like bile. I know hairballs happen and sometimes the squirts happen when the food or treats change, which I've realized require consistency. My main question is, are there any signs I should look for that would be concerning? Skype is a little less peppy, which id expect but still has an appetite and is drinking lots of water, there isn't hair or anything in his poop. If the diarrhea continues I plan on taking him to a vet just to be sure. Is there anything other than deshedding or grooming I can do on a regular basis to help prevent hairballs in the future? Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read this, and for all the amazing info on here in general!
