Last fall some of us decided to form a Book of the Month Club, where each month we could all read the same book at the time, and then once we finished reading it, we could discuss it.

The book for February 2020 is The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager.

The Last Time I Lied (Goodreads)
The Last Time I Lied (Amazon)

We will be reading it between February 1st and February 21.
Discussion will be from February 22 to February 28.

Hope you will join us. Everyone is welcome!

Happy Reading !

Winchester Winchester : forgot to tag you earlier, and now that you're retired, maybe you have time to join in our February read.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 : retagging you, as not sure if tag in the above post worked or not.

I started the book last night, and so far, I'm very curious, and anxious to find out what's going on. But at the same time, like the woman in the comic, I don't want to get to the end too quickly.

That's my thoughts after I think 3 chapters.

So ... who else is reading it / or going to read it ?

So I'm reading along happily, and come to a gardening discrepancy. I'll spoiler it for anyone who hasn't read the book yet.
how can both tiger lilies and crocuses be blooming when Emma arrives back at Camp Nightingale. Crocuses bloom in the spring not summer! :rolleyes3:

You're right. You should email Riley Sager.
You know, I just might. I mean, it's just a tiny thing, but really bugged me, and instantly took me out of the story. You'd think that would be something the author who lives in New Jersey would know, and if not, would have been caught by editing.

I love his books.
Hmmm... I was thinking "Riley" was a girl's name. Just Googled, and see it's not even the author's real name, but a pseudonym.

HOLY CHEW ME UP AND SPIT ME OUT! Guys...it took me 16 days to read the first 10 chapters, and two days after that to finish the entire rest of the book! That was wonderful! At what point do we actually begin discussing details? WHAT WAS THE GARDENING DISCREPANCY? I could kill a plastic philodendron in a week flat, so I missed it! PM if necessary!

I read it in less than a week, which is really fast for me. LOL. I too started out slowly, but couldn't put it down at the end.

Guess it's not really a spoiler, but when Emma arrives at Camp Nightingale, she mentions seeing both Tiger Lilies and Crocuses blooming. It's June/July, so Tiger Lilies yes. But no way Crocuses, as they bloom in the spring, late winter even.
