We recently got Louie (long haired garfield) a haircut, and now when we brought him home, his "sissy" attacks him anytime she comes near him (or even the same room).

We've had to resort to keeping them in separate rooms and/or putting her in a kennel so he can have some run of the house.

We've tried (re)introducing them under controlled circumstances (keeping her restrained). But she just hisses & spits while he either cowers...or bolts.

Keep in mind he's twice her size.

any additional suggestions?

It’s pretty common for this to happen when one cat goes to the groomer or vet and comes back not smelling like themselves. Usually this resolves itself in a couple days when home scents begin to replace the strange scents. But you can help it along by rubbing each with a piece of bedding or towel that they both use. Others have also suggested rubbing a bit of vanilla on both.
