Hi there. My five kittens, who are now almost 6 weeks old, keep getting "eye gunk" which closes the lid. I use a warm washcloth and gently wipe it clean and then open the lid. Does this sound like an infection that is passed from one to another? I really can't afford to take 5 kittens to the vet for this, and I'm afraid if I call the vet first, they will ask me to bring ALL of them in....any suggestions?

Many thanks!
Diane

Yeah, at 6 weeks, they really should have clear eyes. They may have gotten something from mom or something. You may want to try and find a vet associated with a humane society or something. A low cost place that may be able to be flexable with the cost.
