Hey!
Over the past week or so, I’ve noticed Curly’s eye get more and more goobery. On Wednesday, it was so goobery that she had her eye closed and she was pawing at it. Some of the discharge was even a bit yellow. So I made her a vet appointment for Friday (today) since it was the soonest available appointment. Come today, her eye looks fine. Not much more discharge than usual, not puffy or closed or anything. No sign that it’s bothering her. I canceled the appointment because I can’t afford unnecessary vet appointments. Any idea what the issue is or what’s going on? Maybe feline herpes or something? I brought her into the vet a few years ago for her eye being red and gooey, although it wasn’t red this time. They gave me eye drops and it cleared it up. Thank you!

greenish/yellowish eye discharge usually means it's bacterial infection. Herpes would most likely be brownish. Maybe It's possible that the infection cleared itself but I would take the cat to vet if it reappears.
