Eric's 17th Birthday

Today, July 15, is my big orange (ginger) cat Eric's 17th birthday. I took him in when he was 2-1/2, and sick with an upper respiratory infection. His previous owners had moved, and left him behind. He introduced himself two months after I moved into my apartment, and he was a friendly and highly intelligent cat. He has tiger stripes and amber eyes, and looks like he's wearing a v-neck sweater, with his white chest. My other cat, Sarah, now 19, was not happy when she had to share her world with Eric, but they are inseparable now.

Happy Birthday, son. Mom loves you very, very much. (And he answers when I talk to him!)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Eric ate a can of albacore tuna, while Sarah had people salmon. (Eric does not like salmon.) He received cat toys, and a lot of love, so he was happy. Sarah groomed his head and face.
