I know that this is posted frequently and I have written down some responses....Fizzion, SCOE 10X, OdorKlenz. Is there anything else to help get rid of cat urine odor on various surfaces. Sorry I did not take better notes, so feel free to just list a name of a product if you know of one and I will go from there.

The one I use is Advanage Cleaner. It's not advertised for getting rid of pet odors, but it works very well for that. It doesn't do all the other wonderful things that it claims.

I have used Nature’s Miracle and it works great. I had a human have an accident in the passenger seat and soak it in urine. I poured Natures Miracle into the seat and it permanently took away the odor. Even on days when the car sat in the hot sun you never ever smelled anything.

The secret to using it or any other enzyme based cleaner is that you need to blot up as much urine as you can and then really soak the area in the cleaner. You may want to use a black light to check your rooms to make sure you are getting to all the spots that have been urinated on

For carpeting, I have used Vetoquinol "The Equalizer". I do blot up the urine first, then spray it, let it sit, and then blot again. I like it because there is no real residual smell to it, and the carpeting does not have to be saturated for it to work, so less drying time.

We've used NATURE'S MIRACLE for years and for us, it's the best. I've tried FIZZION and didn't think it did much of anything. Also tried other products. NM is our tried-and-true. The "Just For Cats" formula is our favorite, but the general-use one works good, too.

We use Nature's Miracle and honestly I love it, but it can be expensive so I've also used a a vinegar cleaning solution (part water/part white vinegar) and that has always worked for us when it comes to cleaning up the cat urine when we've had issues too. Good in a pinch if you want to clean but have to wait to get the stuff.

I haven’t used the others mentioned here, but I’ve used Anti Icky Poo with great success. Stupid name, but it’s worked for me. :)

TYSM for sharing that with us, Tobermory Tobermory -- I've seen that name and always wondered about that product.
A friend with a sweet Persian boy who peed all over the house recommended it to me many years ago. She gave me some of her supply to try, and I’ve used it since then. I was using the original scent, but I recently bought the unscented because I hate scented stuff and I thought the girls would prefer something unscented, too!

Thanks for that! Yeah, cats' sense of smell is even more acute than dogs' and they do prefer unscented -- I do, too, for stuff like that, although I don't find Nature's Miracle strong or offensive. I may try your brand sometime!

I have ben using Natures Miracle for years.. Last bottle was a scented one. I always just purchased it, and it was unscented. When I used the new bottle, I discovered the scent was much too strong~~Too flowery! Bothered my allergies so much. I had to throw it out, since it was purchased a while ago, receipt long gone.

I did pick up another bottle which I thought was unscented; low and behold, got the bottom home, discovered it was lemon scented... Furious!!
Why!! are they catering to fragrances??? ridiculous! especially since it has always been unscented, original formula...

I looked on Chewy. Found one brand, Ecos, with good reviews... plant based, unscented.. I used it to wipe down Geoffreys Litter Genie.. no fragrence at all! Will let you know how it goes...
I think I am going to like this..

I use it for cleaning up hair balls...

Do they still sell the unscented one? I need to get one that I can pick up at a store, like Petsmart, and I don't like strong scents either.

We are doing ok. Geoffrey is doing much better with the hairballs. Dr B suggested switching his food to a furball based one; and to give him laxatone two to three times a day; and brushing him daily, if possible.
The food switch seems to be helping a lot. The only issue is that the food is in dry form. It is made from chicken, not the greatest ingredients, but .... the hairballs seem to have stopped.

Because of all the issues Artie had, with chicken; I still have the fear built in.

I would prefer Geoffrey eating wet food also but he is refusing it. I am mixing the RC hairball dry food with his RC rabbit food. He loves the mixture! We are up to half and half of each. He is a little piggy! getting fat! I know I should not worry, because he is drinking a lot more water.. but still...
His stools are a bit on the hard size---again, my previous anxieties coming into play with this. Many days he will go twice a day.
I am giving him the laxatone twice a day. He hides from me, so I cannot jeopardize our relationship.. kind of a "choose your battle" type situation.

Geoffrey is really a character. OMGosh! He is so so needy! He tells me when he uses the litter box, to a point of pestering me. He calls me to cuddle on the bed with him. He calls me to play.. wanting attention, doing things he knows he is not allowed to do... just like a human kid... Sometimes I think he would oe a playmate, but then, looking back at his personality, I think he would definitely be so passive, he would be dominated, very easily.. I do not want him to go back into hiding, with all the other issues we have been through.

He is really a sweet boy.. not really a boy, because he is about 5 years old... but he acts so needy and babyish. Loves to just cuddle, on the bed. I have to do that a couple times a day.. It also calms me down. He purrs and purrs, headbutts, rubbing all over me.. when he lies down, he is literally on top of me. Not uncommon to have his butt right up against my face.. I mean it.. He walks all over me..
It is like a meditation/relaxation class with him.. Geoffrey is so sweet.. so frightened of noises, people...
Wish that would change.. and I wish he would sit on my lap, but he does not.

If you look back and see how far we came, it is really amazing. I have had him since November of 2018... no a long time, but he has overcome so many obstacles..

He has pretty much stopped his, "air Kneading".. he now kneads normally, like a regular cat.
still hides/sleeps under my bed. Cuddles very tightly at night. Since the weather has been so hot, and I am so restless at night, he has taken to sleeping on the floor/rug at the foot of the bed, where it is cooler; but, he still cuddles...

Geoffrey is really a very good cat. Even Dr B said that. He said that G is a very, good, sweet cat; could not emphasize that enough.

If I raise my voice to him, kind of yelling: as in last night, where he was using the side of my new sofa as a scratching post, he immediately stops, runs away and hides.. Yup, I think he was harshly treated by a former owner. It takes him a while to get over any yelling, and certain words... I never use those words... one slipped out once...just "knock it off! or Stop it"... his ears went down, he got so scared, and ran under my bed.. He was afraid of me, for a long time. Took many hours to regain his trust..

He is my 'little boy' of 14+ lbs.

Well, as my furmily is 17, 16, and 13, 5 IS a boy kitten to me  :redcat:and yes, he sounds like an excellent cat! A very handsome little man, too. Does he have some cat furniture and scratching posts/pads? We have them all over the house and they are sprayed with catnip spray/sprinkled with catnip and catnip/silvervine weekly, so they get USED. Of course, Baby Su likes to scratch on my one good rug. :devilcat2: I admonish her gently when I see her doing this. That rug has been through so much. :sigh:
I agree with you about dry food not being the best, but if that's what he needs right now, I guess that's what he gets -- and the combination is a good addition for variety, especially when he likes it! RC is a good brand. I fed it for quite a long time--the Special 55 formula because there were some digestive issues in the fumily. They loved it. Now we're on our last bag of Drs. Foster & Smith and I'm not sure what we'll try after it's gone -- maybe Blue Buffalo. RC is so expensive! Solid Gold is another brand I used to feed, but it also got too $$$ for my budget.

SNORGLES to Geoffrey from me!:redheartpump: Very glad to hear you two are doing okay.

Thank you all so much for the replies and I wrote everything down this time! Yesterday I recalled that years ago, maybe 15, one of my GSDs had an accident in the back of my SUV. Really bad and really big. The dealer who serviced my car sold me a product made for cars, maybe by Maguire's but I don't know. He said his kid threw up all over the back seat and this worked. It was amazing but did have a scent as I recall and while it had cautions was not non toxic.

If the smell is really bad, you can try some Odoban. It has a really nice smell. I got the eucalyptus smell.
It is widely used in shelters. It is also a sanitizer. A bit pricey on Amazon, but I found some in my local grocery store, after the Lysol was out of stock.

I really like it. I think you can get it at Walmart and possibly a Big Box store like Costco, Sams Club, etc....
