I would strongly urge you to try Atopica. It took about 3 weeks for boots to stop itching but when he did, all his fur grew back and the scabs disappeared. You can begin trying to wean off Atopica after about a month. I haven't had luck with this but most people can go to every other day or twice a week. I was afraid to use atopica too but now that I see how it has helped boots and he is much more relaxed, I know that his quality of life has improved.
