It's true my cats were always quite happy with hand made toys - mice, dolls, little cardboard boxes (the size plastic sandwich bags come in) with a string through the end for them to pull. I think the robot cats were for people not cats, but if one had the money, they might help orphaned kittens once they were passed the heartbeat doll age.
