Also, your cat looks entirely different from that photo, so even if the photo did show an Egyptian Mau, it wouldn't affect how your cat is classified.

I'm sorry that you didn't get the answer that you were looking for from the many wonderful and knowledgeable people on this site, but you don't need to get hostile. Your cat simply isn't an Egyptian Mau. He does not have many of the characteristics of a Mau, including the body type (slender; yours is not) and face shape (wedged; yours is round). Your cat also has white mittens, which is not a characteristic of a Mau.

What are you talking about? The link that Kieka Kieka sent? Yes, that's a primordial pouch. They're normal.
Yeah, if your talking about the white cat in the link that is a normal pouch/belly flap. The cat just has longer fur and is a healthy weight. Because it is a healthy weight the skin around the pouch is tucked up to its body and the longer fur sticks out more noticably. My boys is similar sometimes, although he is a little chunkier right now so it isn't quite that defined around his body.

I'm no expert on cat breeds, let alone Egyptian Maus, but even I can tell that neither your cat nor the blue tabby in the picture are Maus. Nothing you've said yet proves that your cat has Mau blood.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people on here and they wouldn't tell you false information. Everyone here wants to spread accurate information and help educate other cat lovers.

Did you purchase your cat from someone who claimed that he is an Egyptian Mau? Is that what this is about?

That is a normal tabby marking. Tabby domestic shorthairs and Maus both have it, so it doesn't mean anything about breed:

"Backyardcatenclosures.com.au" is not an accurate source of information on cat breeds.

Web sites like this are just quoting things that they picked up from other web sites that picked up something from somewhere else... it's like a game of telephone.
