How do I clean a AD ointment out of my cats ear? It was applied too thickly and is now causing infection in her lymph nodes. She`s very uncomfortable and not herself. She's still drinking but her nose isn't even pink and it's running. Her lymph nodes are very swollen and she's very inactive

Hi. You need to take your cat to an emergency veterinarian now. AD ointment is toxic to cats and what you are describing is a very sick cat. This is a critical situation.

Thank u for your advice however I don't have the funds to get her into the vet so is there anything otc or other options i may recommend for me plz?? I'm doing everything I can afford to do and I feel terrible for her. Is there something that neutralizes it??

Please reach out to any rescues that might be able to help steer you in the direction of some financial aid. Also check on this site for links etc. as mentioned above.

There is nothing you can give over the counter or otherwise to help unfortunately. Cats are unique and unlike other animals in that they do not have some liver enzymes that can process things they way other mammals can. Many things that are not toxic to dogs are deadly to cats.
