Anyone else have a cat who goes outside for a dust bath? What is she an elephant??? She finds this one dusty patch under a tree and rolls her entire body in the fine dust. Then she comes inside and sits on my face. 😖🤦🏻‍♀️ She also comes out of the litter box covered in dust (paws, face) because she scatches obsessively. She a hot mess.

There are many reasons why a cat does this, from being playful, to marking territory, to scratching an itch. Some even suggest it helps their gut biome! If your cat is very, very itchy you might mention it to your vet, as this might -not saying is- a sign of mites or parasites. I had a cat that did this and I swear it was just because she enjoyed the feeling!

I think it's the last one - she just likes it! Likes to be filthy!
