My kitten got spayed 5 days ago and has been wearing a cone ever since. We took it off for about 10 minutes today just because she’s been such a trooper but she started to lick it so we put it back on immediately. When I checked the wound, this is what it looked like. She is full of energy, playful, eating and drinking normally, going to the bathroom normally, etc. Does this look infected?

Oh no…….. this doesn’t look right…… she needs to go back to vet ASAP….. looks like could be infected. Keep her from jumping and licking or hitting area with cone, but make appointment as soon as you can get…..

What happened? Definitely did not look right. Nine times out of ten here on TCS when people ask this question the incision site does look okay, but yours looks different and should be checked.
