She is a beautiful American Short-hair Tortoiseshell girl kitty. Her eye color will most likely change around six weeks of age. She is an absolutely adorable Tortie.

Domestic shorthair, tortie with white. The great majority of all cats are domestics.

They eyes will change at 6-8 weeks there about. Many torties have green eyes, so this is the money bet as the relative probability is decently good.

She's a very cute little baby! Is she still with her mom, or is she being fostered?

I would also describe her as a tortoiseshell domestic shorthair. I am not sure if she has white markings -- the light patches could be light colored red tabby patches (which would be expected to be quite pale in color on her belly and toes), or she might have some white markings there. When she gets older, it will be easier to tell if she really has white markings.

"American Shorthair" refers to a pedigreed breed, while "domestic shorthair" refers to a shorthaired cat without known breed ancestry. It's most likely that she is a domestic shorthair, but this doesn't make her any less pretty or special -- she's adorable :)

American Shorthair is actually a pedigreed breed in CFA. Non-pedigreed cats are called Domestic Shorthair. And yes, it can be confusing for people who aren't familiar with the various cat association terminology.
