Do you ever find it hard to believe just how much you love your cat.

Yes, absolutely......I am completely guilty of loving Maia so much that even she makes me feel ridiculous sometimes! That 'Back up girlfriend' look
!

There is one thing I hate more then anything and that is being woken up. Maia gets away with it atleast once a night, every night, and somehow manages to put a smile on my face in the process!

I understand completely.     My Rainbow kitty - BJ - was absolutely special and after 8 years I still can cry at the memory of losing him.      But my little Tippytoes is quickly becoming another special baby (of course they're all special) --- she is just so lovable and so affectionate and so attached to me that it is almost scary.  I told her that she'd "better live a long time" --- or else!!   Some people cannot understand how we feel about our kitties, but it's their loss.      The animals never hurt you and never let you down - unlike some friends and relatives.

I know what you mean, I always include Angel in my prayers, that he will stay healthy, so he can live as long as possible w/ me!  When something is wrong w/ him, besides any vet help needed,

I also pray over him!

I've got lots of friends and family that l socialise with,  but l'd be totally lost without my fur kids.

I honestly don't know how people can go home to an empty house
I totally agree Susan, I don't think I can live without at least one cat in my house.

I am the same way about my RB kitty Chuckie, it's been 6 yrs  and I still tear up at the thought of losing him so young.

Yep it's sometimes scary how much we care about our cats. we recently had to take Chai (our 1 year old female kittie) to the vet because she was limping really bad. They took x-rays and determined that there were no breaks but that her knee cap was floating off to the sides and was causing her pain. The vet told us that if we didn't do surgery to correct the problem she would be in pain for the rest of her life. We told him to do it. My dad and step mom are very old fashioned and believe that if the animal is in pain you put it down. They couldn't believe that we payed to have her knee fixed. My dad was talking to the cat and said "you are lucky to be living in this household because if you were in ours you'd be pushing up daisies". I couldn't believe it all I could think of was that if it were his dog that had this problem he would have done the same thing. I am attached to both of our cats but more so with Pekoe our 1.5 year old male. I know if anything happened to him I would be devastated.
