Hi everyone!

Of course we love our cats and we love to play with them. But what we don't love is when they poop around.

We all know cat's poops are SMELLY as crazy and sometimes when they're on their own, they just poop everywhere.

And what if they poop in hard-to-reach places??

"Potty Trained" not actually means they'll poop on a potty chair, it's just a term, maybe, for disciplining them to poop in a certain "safe" place.

Anybody's kitties do this one????

have you tried taking her poop and putting it in the box, that should get her to use it. where the litterbox? does she pee in the litterbox?

you going to have to use a enzyme cleaner and clean all the areas she went on. otherwise she will just keep going on those areas

Buy a bag of Cat Attract litter, and fill litter box with this, and only this.  Keep the litter box meticulously clean, scoop at LEAST twice a day.

And make SURE anywhere the cat may have gone before is cleaned completely, no residue or scent left.

Is this something new or has this been going on for two years?

How long as this been happening? Did she used to use the litter box? Does she use the litter box for pee?

If she used to poop in the litter box and pees in the box without issue, I would wonder if perhaps something happened that has scared her away from pooping in the box. It's also possible there may be a medical issue and require a vet visit. For example, some cats who are constipated will stop using the litter box because they recognize pooping in the box as being associated with straining and pain, so they try going elsewhere.

I'm very hesitant to use the word "discipline" because cats don't understand discipline. Punishments for pooping inappropriately will only make your cat more scared and uncomfortable with eliminating, which can cause them to hold it and make themselves sick. If there's a place she tends to prefer, try moving the box there. Or try adding a second box. Some cats don't like to pee and poop in the same box.

Some cats do prefer immaculate litter, so like @CharlisMom suggested, ensure the litter is cleaned multiple times a day so she always has the option of a clean box.

:yeah: That's more common than people think. If you have two cats, you might even need four boxes, since some cats also hate to share. Is your box covered or uncovered? Cats have their preferences there, too, and there are cats at our local shelter that want an uncovered box to pee in and a covered box to poop in, or vice versa. You might have to try out various combinations.

Is she spayed? Unspayed cats will sometimes poop everywhere to attract males :/.

Litterbox trouble checklist:

Spay/neuter
find litter kitty likes (most cats prefer sand-like litter, either unscented or only a light scent)
find box kitty likes (some cats don't like covered boxes, some like them best, etc.)
have enough litterboxes
keep litterboxes super clean
use Cat Attract litter/additive if other changes don't work
maybe Feliway will help if it's a stress-based behavior

Cat Attract Litter?? sounds amazing.. what does this one do? have you tried this one? Was it effective..?

Our Kitty is adopted cat.. a friend gave her to us.. but she have never used litter box before. She pees everywhere too..

But the most common factor is to get the box clean..  Guess I can do that one..

Thanks!

Works like a charm, have used it with feral cats and they learn the box immediately with this litter.  Don't get the additive, for a big problem like you have you need the actual litter.  Get the litter and fill the box with it, and make sure you have thoroughly cleaned the house where she has gone before, you want to be sure ALL the smell is gone, and just because you can't smell it doesn't mean she can't, so make sure to get an enzyme cleaner that will neutralize whatever residue there is.

Also, I would confine her to one room for a couple of days with the litter box til she gets the hang of it.  Keep her food area far away from her litterbox, too.
