I was cleaning Rosies wound because there was some dried blood, but there looks like there's some bruising.

We're at the vet tomorrow for a check up on it healing but l thought l would ask here first because l can't remember them bruising when they were spayed

I don't remember bruising on any of my ladies after their spay. I do know that some people will have bruising after surgery, so maybe it's the same for cats. Or maybe it's because there was some trauma in the tissue already and it's just coming to the surface now. Something to ask the vet.

My guess is that anything that allows blood under the skin or interferes with its flow will cause some bruising.

Cats can definitely bruise after surgery, even after blood collection.

Thats good to know, and thanks for that link Karen!!.

I wondered if it was inflamed through an infection as well but her skin is cool enough
