Peeing outside his litterbox was the first indication that something was wrong with my Krash as well. He also was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma. In the meantime, I remedied his peeing on the carpet by putting a new litterbox in the exact area that he was peeing. It looked awful to have a litterbox out in the wide open area of my living room, but it worked. And besides, it's not about us, it's about them and what they need us to do. I would've put a litterbox on my bed and slept next to it if that's what he needed to be happy.
We had a similar situation as Krashballz with our previous cat: her lack of litterbox compliance was an early sign of serious health problems, also most likely small cell lymphoma. We also resolved the carpet side of the problem by moving the litterbox to Brooksie's favorite spot to pee. Unfortunately, that was only a temporary solution. Brooksie was already a senior cat and she had lots of health problems.

I also have to say that I agree with @lymeris about finding a cat specialist: it wasn't until poor Brooksie was dying that I realized how very little our vets knew about cats and cat nutrition. We take our new cats to a cat specialist... what a difference.

I hope you're able to figure out what's bothering Ginger, @Fitzleigh1985 -- I remember cleaning up after poor Brooksie, too, and also being scared because she was getting old and infirm, and wouldn't be with us much longer. It was very, very difficult.

Good luck!

If I may add my 2 cents... as many told you already she might have an infection, peeing becomes painful then and they keep trying all the time... if she sits there where you can see her she might be trying to tell you something too... among our 16 cats we have 2 senior males who despite being neutered, happy and well won't stop peeing around (they have practiced that for years....) - i too get mad sometimes and have those ugly thoughts but I know I would never harm them in any way!!!! I clean up the mess (there's a lot of good stuff out there) and when they look at me with those big innocent eyes of theirs all the anger melts away... we're well stocked with cleaning agents and just take it as it comes... they put up with us too, don't they?

speaking of peeing... our 2 males I mentioned before "finished" 3 or 4 computer screens between the 2 of them

we keep them covered in blankets but we aren't the youngest / fastest anymore and sometimes forget for a second, get

up for a cup of coffee, leave them uncovered  and that is when they strike... I guess the warmth the screen radiates must animate them...
