Cricket And Austin Update

Things are not perfect yet, but we are making great progress!

I believe in celebrating the small stuff, that way you have all the practice you need to celebrate the big stuff.*


* big stuff when they cuddle and wash each other. If it doesn't happen you keep celebrating the little stuff, like when they don't fight**

If I ever see them cuddling, I will probably pass out because Cricket is not a cuddler. But I'm hoping some day I do come across them grooming each other. If not, hey, they are getting along! I'm very very happy! Not too much hissing and no growling that I have heard, so it's all good.

This is how it happened? I was in the spot where Cricket is in the picture. I got up to get something, came back, and she had scooted over, so I sat in the middle. Austin came up and I was trying to get him to come up on the other side of me, but he decided he wanted to be next to cricket. When he jumped up there, she barely gave him a glance and when back to snoozing. I was literally afraid to move, until DH came down with the camera.
