Cover Songs

I have spent many years accumulating a list of cover songs- now it's becoming a few a year that I add. I don't know why but I love them. We already have a video thread but I'm hoping to expand my playlist. So, what I'd hope to see on this thread is the song title and band with a video (official music video or lyrics) and a second video following it with the band that's doing the cover. It's rare to find cover songs with video so again either video or audio is fine. I find a lot of people can't stand cover songs because their ear is trained to recognize and enjoy the original (and often they don't like live versions or remixes) or they absolutely love covers. I'm in the latter category!

Cover songs have been around for quite a while- after all, Elvis Presley's ' Blue Suede Shoes' was a cover of Carl Perkins' earlier version.

The music for Love Me Tender was actually from an old song named Aura Lee (or something like that). The words are from Elvis, but the music isn't.
