Jack had pu surgery a few weeks ago because he blocked and couldn’t urinate. He has now developed scar tissue and blocked again, requiring MORE surgery at a specialist. It has been very expensive, so far over $2600, not counting the visits yesterday and today. I am scrambling to cover the costs because I refuse to euthanize him for something that can be fixed. He is spending the day at the vets again in hopes they can avoid the surgery.

Today I took Tabitha in because of a growth she had. This surgery was planned before Jack got sick. When it rains, it pours! They removed it but found a mass in her abdomen. I gave permission for them to check it out. Turns out she has a growth on her liver. We will give supportive care for as long as she has quality of life.

My 2 cone heads are doing fairly well. The cones stay on for 2 weeks, which they hate! Poor little Tabitha looks like a rat with her new haircut. I asked them to shave her down because she desperately needed it and I was concerned I would hurt her. She isn’t the most cooperative cat when it comes to grooming.
