Because if we get confined to quarters for the rest of the month, there are certain things you don't want to run out of. . .

I really am wondering what's going to happen with the little kids whose parents still have to work. Grandma daycares in every neighborhood? That doesn't seem safe.
Oh, I see..So its a fear of quarantine. I guess its been off the shelves for a week, but shipments keep coming in occaisionally...I'm mostly wondering about fresh veggies.

At a certain point, like soon, I would want to switch from fresh vegetables and produce to canned or frozen. Just because I don’t know whose virus laden hands have touched them and because they just don’t last long enough,

I do all frozen veggies anyway because things come up and I don't always use things before they go bad, which makes me feel bad.

Even when I get veggies from my mom's garden, I get them ready and in the freezer ASAP because they'd go to waste otherwise

The archdiocese has shut down all schools and church services.

I have no clue how to teach preschool remotely.

I saw this on facebook

It's a good idea for those who know someone like that, but in the poorer urban neighborhoods, idk how many people know stagehands and the like.

LAUSD just announced a closure beginning Monday, March 16 as did San Diego. In a district as large as LA which cuts across numerous social/economic levels, it will be very hard on some families and I feel for them. Damned if you do and damned if you don't kind of situation.

I am so tired. i left work early today at 2pm, finally home and its almost 6pm. Decided to stop by bjs (a grocery store in the USA) really quick. There was a huge line! The cashier told me it had been like that all day, no cleaning products, toilet paper, etc. Went to walmart and all the aisles were bare looking, even the feminine products were running low. LOL everyone was buying water, not quite sure why. i had an insane moment where i wanted to give into my hurricane prep training and go get water.

thankfully i saw reason and realized we have a water filter, and this is not a hurricane that will take out the lights, or affect the water.

Anyway, medicine aisle was low, as were cough drops etc. I got a few of the medicines that were left, just allergy meds, and ibuprofen.

thankfully last weekend was my cat food prepping day, all the chicken thighs was gone from BJs. not sure when they'll restock but i want to make a bit more chicken for the cats, but for now they are good for two months.

Other California school districts are following LA County. My nieces district just announced they will be closed until Apil 6th. My guess is child care centers will close too because of risk to workers and the children doesn't change just because its child care instead of school. Luckily, I think we have enough friends and family willing to watch her a day or two that it will end up working out.

I've never had so much anxiety going to the grocery store before. People are fighting over toilet paper and a guy got into an argument when the cashier because he had 4 packages and the limit is 2.

They had to block off the aisle with the toilet paper and paper towels because people were going bonkers. All the eggs are gone. Milk and general dairy products are limited. We couldn't find everything we needed. No cleaning products. Aisles are packed. Carts everywhere. Long lines.

Having an anxiety attack in a grocery store isn't fun.

Okay, I am getting seriously annoyed that every vendor, store, casino, or utility that I have ever been associated with is sending me emails with their heartfelt concern and assurances of what they are doing to keep me safe from the COVID virus. Might be nice to hear from my doctors office with specific instructions on what to do if I get ill though.
