Haha that’s you told! I thought Himalayan was another term for colourpoint?Lol- my breeder friend told me I should stick to assessing animal behavior and training because Romulus does not have enough snout to be Himalayan nor Chinchilla and where do I see 3colors with that little tarnish? Guess she told me - rofl
She said he's a blue point Persian from what she can see and asked his age and weight- I said " I don't know" also said forget the clipped photo
..
Yes,,she's a gold friend so we do tease each other alot.....I'm not sure she took a real good look because she did mention she was on the road going out of State to pick up a cat ( or msybe she said dropping off)so we will talk later when she's checked in for the night before heading back homeHaha that’s you told! He is 8 and about 4.5kg. He’s definitely a nice solid boy with decent sized paws. I was thinking perhaps seal lynx point would explain some of the warmer tones? Or even tortie but I wouldn’t expect to see that in a male. I’m sure he has lynx/tabby as it’s so clear in his face. His paw pads are all dark of that helps.
Thank you so much for taking the time to investigate further for me, I really appreciate it. Please thank your friend too.Hi L Laura00
So I just got off the phone with my friend- she said she can see the stripes in Romulus' points and in the first photos it does appear he is particolor( 3) but the other photos you can't see the reddish tones so it hard to say if he's a Blue cream lynx point or a blue lynx point( so in natural light you would know)
She said he is not 'seal lynx" because he'd have a black nose( I didn't know thst either) & at his age his points would be pretty dark
So that's her input..... she said to tell you he is a beautiful male Blue Lynx Point Persian and wishes you and your cat good heath and happiness
You're very welcome- I was very interested myself and haven't chatted with my old friend in awhile ,thanks to Romulus well be getting together SundayThank you so much for taking the time to investigate further for me, I really appreciate it. Please thank your friend too.
I didn’t think it was possible to get blue cream males though; but the red/cream is very visible on his head in daylight. Either way, he is utterly adorable and we love him so much
That’s so interesting! As you say, if you’re looking at one, the do exist! That’s our little mystery solved! You're very welcome- I was very interested myself and haven't chatted with my old friend in awhile ,thanks to Romulus well be getting together Sunday
Apparently there are male blue cream lynx points and much like a male tortie they are 1 in 3000 so quite the prize IMO but I'm not looking to register or show such a kitty
Breed standard particolors according to CFA say tortie, blue creams, chocolate tortie and lilac tortie Persians are ALWAYS female
So in other words CFA considers the xxy chromosome a genetic fault & so registries refuse to recognize the male in parti- color division ,I suppose TICA as well,I didn't ask
Bottom line is if you're looking at a male tortie Persian cat or how about a calico or a blue cream lynx point and they say they are always female then I guess they aren't always female - lol. Right? Anyway that's how my wise a___ buddy replied to me..... Gotta love that gal!
He is very special and we are blessed to have him. Not all of the cats rescues together survived sadly so we feel we were meant to have him (further justifying having 5 cats!).And IMO you've got a gorgeous furbaby, a very special spectacular BOY - who is first place Grand Champion in your heart,he IS the prize!!!!! Blessings to you and your entire family(hoomans too)
