So, I've been fostering cats for a while and had this idea.
I get nervous enough when my own cats don't wear collars and they're all microchipped and know where they live. So I think I might like to get some collars to put on my foster cats and kittens while they're with me, along with some tags that say something like "I'm a foster pet, please call (My number) or (Shelter's number) if found!"
Just something generic like that that would give a bit of security if one of the cats ever somehow got outside the house. I might bring up the idea with the shelter, see if they have a preference to what I write on the tag.
What are some cute sturdy collars? Id tag's with lots of space for engraving contact information?
The kittens I foster would be pretty young. Anywhere from newborn to 8-10 weeks, do they make collars for kittens that small? (Not newborn, that'd be a bit... Maybe starting from when they're 3 or 4 weeks.)

Chewy.com has pages of kitten and cat breakaway collars. Be sure to check on the size since they aren't that clearly marked. I suggest neon colors because they are easier to see in dark rooms. put break away cat collars in to search. here is what I got for break away kitten collars.

To add on to this, Chewy has a sale going on that includes ID tags and collars, up to 50% off the listed price. :)
