So, Piper (thus far) isn't really a lap cat, but lately she has been especially clingy and wants to be touching me at all times and she cries out if she can't find me. Any other clingers?
Chilli is definitely not a lap cat, and normally is fairly independent and does her own thing. But for the past few weeks she’s been SUPER affectionate. I don’t know why but she’s in the happiest mood lately!
I get woken up 4-5 times a night by someone stepping on me and purring in my face, or sitting in the dark staring at me making tiny meows for attention. But... of course... I always wake up and cuddle her.
Lucky you. If only my Bourbon is like that. The only times she wants to "cling" with me are the times when she feels her stomach is empty and needs a refill. LOL.
Max got very clingy during the last year before he crossed the Bridge. He was either on my lap or lying next to me with his head against my leg and his little white paw on me. If I was working in the kitchen, he’d sit next to me and lean against the side of my leg. Very hard to move when you have a sweet, frail, 20-year-old kitty leaning on you and looking up at you for love and reassurance! My boy Max. The girls are affectionate but not clingy.
Honeybun lives to be cuddled up next to me. I blacked out the bg bc no one needs to see my messy room, but if i lay down, on the couch or the bed, you can bet the Bun will come flop down next to me for pets & love.
It was months after we adopted Juniper until she would allow pets and cuddles but she's finally coming around to lap sitting. Her first snuggles with me were covert midnight snoozes cuddled up into my armpit. She also likes to butt her head against my hand while I'm sleeping for a few pets. This morning, when she couldn't find my hand, she gave my elbow a nibble!
Here she is during a cuddly phase. My husband was out of town so we took to cuddling up in bed together to watch TV.
